Indian-American pop-up, House of Chic, features traditional Indian fashion with a modern touch

House of Chic, a multi-designer pop- up store founded by Heena Surani, along with event planner Vandana M. Puri, held the “Festive Edit 2019,” show Sept. 22, in Woodbridge New Jersey.

The New York-based pop up retail house founded by Surani seeks to present Indian premium clothing and accessories to a global clientele.

This year’s event held at Lake Chateau Banquets in Woodbridge, featured Indian ethnic prints and vibrant colours.

Participating clothing designers from India included Nupur Kanoi , Dev r Nil, Jayanti Reddy, Rajat Tangri, Myoho, Lotus Sutr and Voila by Roma Bhalla .

Jewellery brands like Reemat Designs, Tinted Teal and Sej Jewels exhibited their jewellery pieces to enhance bridal attire.

Shawls of Kashmir, known worldwide for their design and embroidery, were exhibited by Shah Art Emporium, bringing out the famous Pashminas. And Lakbir Designs presented home decor.

The event was designed to create a buzz in Indian fashion and present the latest trending styles in Indian fashion, from handcrafted jewelry to clothing with a traditional touch and modern taste, the press release from House of Chic said. The other successful festive edit pop ups were  in cities like  Los Angeles , Dallas , Houston , Westchester and Long Island.
