IAICC launches new chapter in Massachusetts

The New England States Chapter of the Indian American International Chamber of Commerce (IAICC) was launched at the Northeastern University campus on December 6th in Boston, Massachusetts.

Indian Ambassador to the US Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the Chief Guest at the event, lauded the work of the Chamber and its President & CEO KV Kumar for playing a vital role in promoting India-US trade relations. He also thanked all the community leaders and partners for supporting the launch, where the Consul General of India in New York Sandeep Chakravorty was also present.

At the launch, Kay Khan, State Representative and House Committee Chair on Disabilities honored the Chamber with a proclamation, which was accepted by Kumar on behalf of the Chamber.

Kumar said that the primary role of the Chamber would be to promote and foster economic development of the United States and India together with the rest of the world for the benefit of all. IAICC Co-Chairman, New England States, Rajat Bhatnagar, said that he is confident that more entrepreneurs will be able to benefit through the Chamber’s expertise and activities.

During the launch, IAICC office bearers, including Glen Falcao, National Vice President, Kanchan Banerjee, NE Region Chairman, Sanjeev Yadav, Vermont Chairman Vijay Konda, Massachusetts Co-Chair, and Suresh Sharma, Connecticut Chairman, were also present.

Both Shringla and Chakravorty later joined a dinner reception organized by the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB), Northeastern University, IAICC, and Boston Center of Excellence for Health and Human Development where nearly 150 leaders from regional and local community organizations from the New England States were present.

Notably, for the first time ever, IAGB brought together 20 Indian-American community organizations from the New England States and jointly welcomed Shringla during his visit to Boston.

IAICC also launched its CA Western Regional Chapter on December 10th in San Francisco where Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis was the Honored Guest and Robyn Denholm, Chairman Board of Tesla Inc., Ambassador Sanjay Panda, Consul General of India, San Francisco, and KV Kumar, President & CEO, Executive Board, IAICC, were the Special Guests of Honor.

IAICC launched its Arizona Chapter on December 20th where the Mayor of Phoenix, Kate Gallegos, was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker.
