AAPIQLI hosts 22nd Annual Convention

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin of Queens and Long Island (AAPIQLI) hosted its 22nd Annual Convention at Huntington Hilton on Dec. 16, under the leadership of its President Dr. Rakesh Dua.

The convention was attended by Congressman Tom Suozzi from New York’s third district, who was also the chief guest, Laura Curran, the Nassau County Executive elect, Dr. Eugene Heslin, the first deputy commissioner at the department of health of the State of New York and more than 600 others.

Four Indian American physicians were honored for their lifetime achievements and the money raised, was donated to local and national charities.
